We offer bilingual (French and English) programs which culminate with the Senegalese Baccalaureate and/or the American High School Diploma with Advanced Placement (AP) Courses from the College Board and the prestigious AP Capstone Diploma.
Our mission is to positively impact Africa and the Diaspora, by educating children who will be committed to a life of service and leadership in their communities and beyond.
For our commitment to education beyond the classrom, in 2015, SABS was designed as an Ashoka Changemaker School. SABS Alumni have gone on to study in over 200 universities in Africa, North America, Europe, the Middle East and China. We are proud of our former students, many of whom are striving to make a difference in their communities. We are always delighted to hear from them.
One of our most important values is that we aim to teach to reach each. We believe that it is important to value all children. Whether they are exceeding academic expectations or struggling to meet them, all students need a growth mindset and an encouraging community of family, teachers and friends.
I hope that you will find our website helpful and easy to navigate. If you cannot find a specific department listed and/or for general information, you may contact , we will be happy to assist you.

It has been over 27 years since the Senegalese-American Bilingual School (S.A.B.S) started with nine little pre-schoolers, initially as La Petite Ecole Bilingue. Today, we have grown into a K-12 institution of nearly 1300 students and over 200 faculty and staff members. We are located in Dakar, Senegal, in the Point-E/Bourguiba neighborhood, across 9 micro-schools (each called a Site).
